Our Niece Maggie.....is FINALLY HERE!!!

After many hours of waiting at the hospital yesterday, our little Maggie finally made her appearance at 12:20 a.m.--by C-section. Here's a little slideshow of early this morning and then this afternoon. I was SO glad that she listened to her FAVORITE Aunt Denise & arrived when Wesley & I could be there. I was sad, though, when we had to leave today after only seeing her for a few minutes---but a few minutes is definitely better than no minutes. Daddy, Mommy, & Maggie are doing just fine. I can't wait to see them in a few weeks!
Sorry I didn't post pictures last night--it was 3 a.m. by the time we got home & we were exhausted. Hope it was worth the wait!

Our Niece Maggie

We are currently at the hospital anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first niece, Maggie! I told her last weekend that this week/weekend was the time to arrive-because that is when her personal photographer is available. She listened!.....sort of, she decided to start making her entrance around 8 or 9 this morning, but we still have yet to see her. We are in the waiting room now while Jana rests to get ready for Maggie to arrive. Here are some exciting waiting moments from this afternoon/evening.

Martha, Wesley, Dean & Mark earlier this afternoon.

The boys aren't very excited about waiting.........at 6:23 tonight.......

Jana & her daddy, Jack

Mark gets to wear this soon and have Maggie's footprints put on it!

Yum...

Jana & her mom, Jan, with the doctor who gives the drugs!

Jan & I are trying to encourage Maggie to arrive quickly.

That's all for now.....until Miss Maggie makes her entrance. :)

Dinah Finah Gets Hitched

This is my BEAUTIFUL friend Dinah. She and I first met in the dorm at MTSU. We had classes together and enjoyed many fun times on the 2nd floor. Dinah's nickname is Dinah Finah. At her wedding on Saturday, she walked in to this fantastic old song that started something like "Dinah, no one's Finah" it was GREAT! As soon as I figure out how, I'm going to post that song in here somehow. It was great....She walked in to a song about Dinah. How many brides can say they did that? I was so excited to be able to be a part of Dinah's day by photographing her reception for her. Here are a few before the ceremony and reception shots. I was going to snap a couple really fast during the ceremony to put on here, but I ended up videoing with Dinah's parents' camcorder. Multi-talented, I tell ya...
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Wade!! Enjoy your honeymoon and the rest of your summer!

The ringbearers were former students in Dinah's kindergarten class. She trusted them enough to carry the REAL rings (in their boxes). As you can imagine, they were VERY PROUD of their jobs.

Dinah Finah & Denise Matise.....

How to keep a flower girl quiet AND bribe her to walk down the aisle???.....put Smarties in her purse and hide it on the stage....ingenious, it worked...

Dinah's mom and Caroline-Caroline calls her "Mo". I think that is just precious!

Right after they walked back down the aisle, the ringbearers had to sign the guestbook.

Caroline coloring at the reception--she's either getting or giving coloring tips I think. :)

Dinah & her sister Haley

So this group of Dinah's friends were very entertained by having their picture made while jumping....her friend Daniel was coordinating this and I just snapped a shot too.

The friend Daniel even got the bride & groom to jump in on the action (get it? "jump in!")

This is the friend Daniel with Mr. & Mrs. Wade

Please note the ages of the single ladies.....ALL of the grandmothers are included....

Congratulations, Adam & Dinah!

Many Goodbyes

The last week we were in Murfreesboro was filled with too many goodbye lunch/suppers! We are so blessed to have many wonderful friends. We already miss them all like crazy. I had to share pictures from our various meal time goodbyes.

My sweet friend Jaime drove all the way from Lewisburg to shop with me and say goodbye. Even though we haven't lived in the same town for 3 years, it's still sad because she's now more than an hour away!

Mrs. Donna (the BEST foster mom/Northfield EA in the world), Laura (the best ESP teacher in the world-and great classroom helper--she helped me move, arrange, and decorate 3 classrooms at Northfield!) and me at Penn Station.
The Tenpenny's are wonderful, wonderful people-they are East Main friends. Mr. Tenpenny taught Wesley how to make wooden pens and many other amazing wooden things. He helped Wesley with our coffee table and I don't know what we're going to do without him. It'll take a lot longer to get furniture now! Mrs. Tenpenny is also fabulous-she and I patiently waited together MANY nights after church while the two guys talked about making things forever!
The Vicks have been like our Murfreesboro grandparents for the last 4-5 years. They have hosted our group of young adults in their home for supper and Bible study countless times. They take such great care of us and we are really going to miss them. Here's Geoff, David, Mr. Vick & Wesley.
Myself, Brandi, & Mrs. Vick

Tonight we met our East Main group at Miller's Grocery for supper. They surprised us with this great $money$ plant. They claim this is the way it grew, but I have my doubts. They are such special people and we dearly miss them. They did way too much as you can see, but it is greatly appreciated. I told Wesley we'd just buy them all nice gifts when he graduates! So, get ready, friends.....in just 4 short years......

Wesley, Lindsey, & myself at Miller's.

Brady & Leyton--just 6 days apart--we can already tell they are going to be best friends.

Andy & Brian with their baby boys!

Our great East Main group of friends--Suzanne, Brady, & Andy, Dave & Mikey, Leslie, Leyton & Brian, Christy, Kristy (with Ryder in her belly-we missed Cody-he had to rest up for work tonight), Lindsey, myself, Wesley, Tisha & Chris
Well, I know that was a LOT of pictures of our friends, but they are so special, I think they definitely deserved some blog love. Hope everyone's doing well. I'm photographing my college friend Dinah's wedding reception tomorrow, so I'll post those soon!

Father's Day Weekend

Yes, I know. This blog is way overdue! Father's Day weekend we stopped in Cleveland to visit Wesley's family on our way home from Johnson City. Here are some pictures from our Father's Day!Wesley's mom & dad check out his gift....
It's headphones that block sound and have a radio for when he's on the tractor. Wesley's dad can be a little silly! :) (wonder where Wesley gets it from, huh?)

He let Mamaw try them on. She was very excited; can you tell?Father & Sons

Jana & I tried about 7 times to take a self portrait-we finally gave up after Mark did the bunny ear trick.Mark, Mamaw, & Wesley
Jana & I with MAGGIE in Jana's belly!!!!
I can't wait til she's here!

We went to Mark & Jana's to see Maggie's nursery. Martha made the bedding and window treatments-she's amazing!

She's going to be a cowgirl!
