Sweet Boys

Last Friday afternoon, I got to hang out with our friends Kristy and Jonie and their mom, Janet-"Granna", and their sweet babies, Camden & Ryder. When I told Kristy I could come over, she said, "This isn't why I want you to come, but bring your camera." Sure, she said she just wanted to hang out with me, but I know the truth! :) We had lots of fun time hanging out while the boys slept (at different times!). When they woke up and were in happy moods, we had some fun taking pictures.
I would pay a considerable amount of money to have a video of our photo session.
4 women (1 with a camera) doing everything in the world to make 2 baby boys smile and laugh. 4 women (1 with a camera) diving in at the 2 baby boys every time that Camden got a little too rough-loving with Ryder. I'm sure I missed a couple of good shots because I was diving in to save Ryder, but I was the closet one to them and it was an automatic reflex.
Also throw in 3 women (not the one with the camera!) singing the frog song (well, okay, I was singing), making monkey noises, saying "Here, kitty, kitty!" (because Camden thinks it's funny), and fake sneezing (also because Camden thinks it's funny). I am very sure it was one of those times that God was sitting in heaven watching us and laughing hysterically.
Needless to say, we had a good time.
It was SOOOO good to get to hang out with them.
Enjoy this peek into our day--I just wish I had taken some pictures of the crazy women who stood behind me working on getting the smiles!

Ryder has gotten sooo big and more expressive since our last session.

This is one of my favorites-Kristy is so sweet with Ryder.

Granna and her boys!

Jonie and Camden-I can't believe that he's about to turn 1 year old.

These boys are incredibly sweet together. It's so fun to see them interact. Camden will hold Ryder's hand and give him kisses-and when Ryder cries, Camden starts "talking" to him.

Pretty sure I caught this right before I started diving after them.

Camden drove this car ALL over and kept doing the "vroom, vroom" sound.
Jonie said, "How do boys automatically know to make that noise with a car?"

See more of these handsome boys in their slideshow.

Emmett's 2 Year Session

I met Emmett and his mom and dad at Allendale Mansion in Kingsport for his 2 year old session last Friday afternoon. It was FREEZING, FREEZING, FREEZING COLD! Mr. Emmett was SOOO good. He just ran and played and chased the geese and didn't fuss at all!

Jeanette, Emmett's mom, said that every picture she has of him, he's holding cars. These were no different. There was no chance of getting the cars out of these little hands! When his family looks at these pictures when Emmett's 30 years old, they'll be able to remember him just how he was when he was 2 years old-a car loving little boy!

Emmett LOVED the geese. We chased them all over the place. I love how the goose is flying in the side of this shot.

I LOVE those pretty blue eyes.

Sweet family shot.

Emmett's showing us where baby sister Erin is.
She's making her big arrival in February (I think....).

Enjoy your slideshow.

Sneak Peek

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the blog world! And, Happy Birthday, Mr. Emmett!
I met Emmett and his mom and dad last Friday in Kingsport to take some 2 year pictures of Emmett. He's such a sweetie and a trooper-it was FREEZING cold and he didn't seem to mind at all. I'll have more pictures up later, but I wanted to share these so Emmett's family from out of town could have a Thanksgiving/Emmett's Birthday Treat.

I hope everyone has lots of things to be thankful for and enjoys a wonderful day with family and friends.

Colossians 2:6-8
"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

Brittney and Tyler's Fall Session

Brittney & Tyler are our good friends. Brittney is Emily's sister-Emily & Andy's engagement session was my first official photography session ever. I have been waiting to do Brittney & Tyler's engagement pictures for quite awhile now. Tyler popped the question just a week before we did this session. After Brittney asked me to do their engagement pictures (the day after they got engaged), I had the idea to do a "Four Seasons" Engagement Series. So, we had to hustle to get these beautiful fall colors before they vanished away.

Brittney, Tyler, Emily, Wesley & I traveled to the Ocoee Whitewater Center (where they held the rafting events for the 2006 Olympics) for some fun. Emily was supposed to be there to help Brittney with any wardrobe or beauty help and Wesley was there to show us where the Ocoee was. After his job was done, he distracted poor Emily from her job and got her in trouble by her little sis. But, as you can see, Brittney is beautiful and did not really need any help in that area!

Brittney & Tyler, here is your sneak peek and slideshow. I can't wait for our next three installments of your engagement pictures and to see how beautiful and handsome you look on your wedding day.
Love you both!

This is probably my favorite from the whole session. I love the expression on their faces!

It was INCREDIBLY cold, so Brittney wore Tyler's jacket in between shots--they both toughed it out so well. They look so great, you wouldn't even know we were freezing.

This picture was taken after a very heated discussion on which tree or post they were supposed to be looking at.

Brittney & Tyler, enjoy your slideshow!

Maggie & Santa

Saturday Maggie had her first pictures made with Santa! Santa was Jana's dad and he did a fabulous job!
First, Jana wanted pictures of her grandmother and Maggie. We also got some "Four Generation" pictures-they are in the slideshow (link below). Then, while we were changing Maggie's outfit, Mark and Wesley yelled for me to come see Smokey.....apparently he wanted his picture taken in the Christmas decorations.
Maggie was SO good--especially considering she had a cold! Everyone has asked if she was afraid of Santa--well, we really didn't give her the chance. We turned her around backwards and sat her down and Jack talked to her while he held her and she knew he had her.

Maggie's sporting some stylin' socks because her tights (size 0-6 months) are TOO big. Mark said they should be called "looses" instead of tights! Ha! I am still laughing at that one.....you should have seen 'em, they really are "looses!"
In the middle of our shoot, Smokey made his way back through. I love how Maggie's checking him out!

This is my favorite!! I love Maggie smiles!
