New Camera Fun

I got a new camera this Friday and am super excited to share some images I captured over the weekend. For now, enjoy a few of Miss Maggie (my niece) and a little video of her "singing."

It's the Great Pumpkin, Maggie Skelton! {Cleveland Tennessee Lifestyle Photography}

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is on television tonight. I decided it was about time you saw pictures from Maggie's pumpkin patch adventure this year!
As soon as we arrived at Guthrie Farms, Maggie saw this hay bale decorated as a spider. She said, "Yook! It's a spider bacuum cleaner!"

When we went to the petting barn, Maggie waved and greeted every animal.

She sure loves her Papa......and I think he might love her too! Just a little.

Maggie found a long blade of grass to tickle Papa.

Then, he tickled her. I have a whole series of this-I LOVE them!
Then, Maggie decided to tickle the calf......and all it wanted was to eat the grass.

Fun times with Uncle Wesey!
Here's a little slideshow of our fun trip to the pumpkin patch!
I hope you all have a great Halloween! Friday I don't have school and we are doing the McMurray family session at a pumpkin patch!

Maggie's 2nd Birthday Party! {cleveland, tennessee family photography}

How in the world this child is 2 TODAY I do not know. Seriously. July has been a whirlwind for us-2 weeks in Jamaica, back home for 1 night, then went to the beach with our friends (their beach session pics coming soon), then home for 1 night to leave the next day for Maggie's party.
Despite it all, we would not have missed Miss Maggie's 2nd Birthday Party for anything.

When we arrived, Maggie was less than excited about her party. They had to wake her up from her nap for her party and she was NOT happy. And I believe the fun life of being 2 has kicked in-"I don't YIKE cake! I don't want to see ____! I don't want to wear dat!"
About 5 minutes into it all, I snapped into reality and grabbed my camera.
After I took this picture, I said, "Maggie, you're going to LOVE this picture when you are 16!" :)
It was amazing moment when Maggie saw her party decorations and balloons. A new child had appeared. :) "Yook! Butterflies, balloons!"

And we were ready for a party!

Before her party, if you asked Maggie what would happen at the party, she would say, "Cake, pwesents, and my fwiends will be dere!"

Oh how I love this boy. How is Ryder this big?! His 2nd birthday is coming up soon!

LOVE her!

This cracks me up. Jonie said, "I think she's used to having her picture taken." No, really, I don't know why! :)

Right after this, Maggie informed me the concrete was too hot and now she DID want shoes on.

Last Sunday I almost didn't recognize Carter. He has gotten so big!

For someone who doesn't "yike" cake, she sure ate a lot!

Sharing with Papa.

As soon as Maggie opened this present, she started trying to put the dress on. She even gave Jana one (see in the background)!

Someone who really loves Maggie gave her a camera. (Wonder who?!) We need to work on her photography skills. She's looking in the wrong end!

That's better.

After all of the presents were open, it was time to play with them all!
Sweet Camden!

Last year at the end of the party, Maggie laid down right on the garage floor and I got a picture.
This year, she laid down in the chair Uncle Wese and Aunt Nise gave her.

Ohhh, Birthday Kisses from Camden!

And something VERY important to tell Ryder (although we were all laughing so hard we have no idea what she said).

And Birthday Hugs from Ryder-this is how he hugs, by turning his head and leaning into you!

A wonderfully fun party!
Maggie Skelton, we love you so much and can't believe you are already 2!
Enjoy the slideshow!

Maggie's 2nd Christmas

You know there MUST be a Christmas post of Maggie's 2nd Christmas! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family including our amazingly smart and oh-so-cute niece, Maggie! We had Maggie's Christmas session one Sunday afternoon before lunch and bribed her with pieces of bread. I know, I know, what kind of people are we?! The kind who want cute pictures of Maggie for Christmas!

This is my favorite (as you can tell by the current blog header and my previous post about my Maggie ornament).

Stay tuned for lots holiday fun - and I must tell you that we spent the first night of my Christmas break in the ER with Wesley. Apparently, he should NOT work with machinery with blades (or he will lose more finger parts). See pictures of our holiday so far on my Facebook.
Merry Christmas!
xoxo

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving-Maggie Style :)
I had to grab a quick photo of my adorable niece eating Thanksgiving dinner-it's just with my point and shoot, so please forgive the quality. Enjoy!
Stay tuned this week for the rest of sweet Melanie & Ella's pictures as well as sneak peeks for Lindsey & Ryan's beautiful wedding and Tyson's Christmas session!

It's The Great Pumpkin, Maggie Skelton!

For Dean's birthday/Denise really wanted to take Maggie to the pumpkin patch, the Skeltons all loaded up and drove to Riceville to the Guthrie Farms Pumpkin Patch.
Martha asked me the day before, "Why do you want to go to the pumpkin patch?" to which I replied, "Have you never BEEN to a pumpkin patch!?!?!"
Pumpkin patches are my all time favorite fall tradition! I get excited every year when fall rolls around just thinking about it!

We started off in the petting barn. Mind you, Maggie is going to be a farm girl, so cows are nothing new to her. She was so excited to see all of the animals-she saw the calves and yelled "HEY, COWS!" and waved. Priceless.

We continued around to the other animals including pigs, goats, a horse (to whom Maggie screamed "HEY, COW!"), a donkey (to whom Maggie said, "neigh, neigh"), a miniature horse, bunnies, baby ducks, and chicks.
She loved feeling of the bunnies.

We tried my first corn maze. It was interesting. If it had been darker I would have been scared. Here's a Skelton Family photo in the corn maze minus myself.

There were friendly signs that reminded us not to pick the corn, but this corn cob was on the ground. :)

After the corn maze, the guys (& Maggie) walked across the road to look at the bulls. Maggie threw some hay over the fence and said "EAT IT!" to the bulls.

I love this shot of Maggie & her Nana on the hayride to the pumpkin patch.
Pumpkin time! Maggie saw the pumpkins and said something about tomatoes. Then she got to the pumpkin and said, "Aaa-ple!"

The girls!

Maggie loved celebrating Papa's birthday at the pumpkin patch!
We (Jana, Maggie, & I) decided this should be an annual Skelton family tradition!
You can see all 48 of my favorites (ha!) on my Facebook album.
