Brittney & Tyler's Spring Engagement Session

Brittney & Tyler's wedding is quickly approaching as we try to get in our "Four Seasons" Engagement Sessions! We met them in Chattanooga on a Friday evening for a fun spring excursion.

The FISH wall! I LOVE the FISH wall!

Yummy light

Brittney & Tyler had quite an entourage.
That's Andy & Emily & Wesley in the middle.
Yes, Andy is carrying both girls' purses. He is a good husband & brother-in-law. :)

We've had some sort of bridge shot from each session.
I told them I really set myself up when I got the first one during their fall session!

These are the sad faces when we saw that the carousel was closed.
Complete sadness.
We went on and got some shots in front of the fountain at Coolidge Park (check the slideshow below).

We got a few casual portraits this time of both of them.

Aren't these two beautiful?!
I can't wait until their wedding!

Just as the day was fading, we found these beautiful, BEAUTIFUL flowers on the riverbank.
I told Wesley I risked life and limb for these shots.......he thinks I am exaggerating.....
I was standing on this steep hill, climbing over sliding rocks only inches (okay, maybe yards) from the treacherous water. I told Brittney and Tyler that if I fell, they were to grab my camera and maybe the guys fishing in the water would rescue me.
Finally, Tyler said I needed to be more careful and stop moving around. So, I listened.
Aren't these flowers totally WORTH risking my life for?
If this doesn't say SPRING, I don't know what does.....

Much to my delight, we found this ivy archway on the way to eat supper in the Art District.

Brittney & Tyler, thanks for always being so much fun! I can't wait until the wedding!
Enjoy your slideshow.
And, if you want to take a trip down memory lane....

I will go to Dixon Springs on Friday and Saturday since that is where all the "critters" will be. If you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible so we can set an appointment time. Feel free to email or call (615-804-0925). I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Sitting Fee is: 1-3 children: $35, 4 or more children $50. CDs will be available after your pictures are edited and you have viewed them for $25 each or you may order prints from me--price list-

Our New News......

Wesley and I are excited to share our new news......We found out yesterday that he has been accepted into pharmacy school at ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee. I am SO proud of him because our friend Matthew encouraged him in September to become a pharmacist--and since then, he has done all he needed to do to get in. He has done so much in a few short months. We are excited, but also nervous, anxious, slightly stressed, I could go on and on--we are REALLY going to miss our family and friends in Middle Tennessee, but we know this is the best thing for our family. We will be moving sometime mid-summer. For now, we are getting our house ready to sell (if you know anyone who is house-shopping, send them our way!) and making plans for East Tennessee.
The moral of this post is:
Make your appointments now for your spring and summer sessions (including senior pictures!)--I will be available on a very limited basis after we move, but if you need pictures after June, please email or call me and we'll see what we can do. Also, please tell your family and friends in the Johnson City area about Skelton Photography! (During the whole campus tour we had last week at Wesley's interview day, I kept telling him what great pictures we could take on the Medical/Pharmacy School Campus!!)
Here are a few pictures from the afternoon/evening.

Here is the envelope I found when I got to the mailbox yesterday. We were both so nervous and Wesley wasn't home yet. I had told him I was not opening it until he got home, but luckily the outside gave me the answer (although I still didn't tell Wesley-I had to get a picture of the look on his face!).

Wesley when he first saw the envelope!Wesley is spreading the good news!

It was Wesley's Birthday into Pharmacy! ha! Really I just thought a birthday cake would be funny! And it was tasty. :)
Our friends came to celebrate with us and enjoy an hour of 24! Above is Lindsey, Dave, Christy & Mikey. Below is Matthew (who started this whole pharmacy school idea), Morgan, & Maddox (Maddox was having allergy problems, so he wasn't too interested in the camera).

Yes, I'm still here!

I know it has been awhile since the last post and just wanted to let you know that EXCITING NEWS is coming! I can't say exactly what yet, but next week there will be a new post with some exciting new features to Skelton Photography!
For this week's exciting news--new business cards arrived today! :) If you know someone who might be interested in portraits, I'd be glad to pass some cards your way so you may help spread the news.
It's not too early to be thinking about doing some spring pictures! (With this fabulous spring weather we're having, we could do some this week...) I have talked with several different families about setting up a portrait session. If you are interested, please contact me now so that we will be able to set a date.
I have been toying with Easter picture ideas too. If you would like to have your child's Easter picture made outside, possibly with some cute little baby chicks, let me know!
